Perth's very own Malaysian festival! A celebration of culture, community, and connection, where the warmth of Malaysia greets the local community. Featuring food, performances, and experiences you won't forget!
Journey to Malaysia is a cultural celebration organised primarily by Perth's Consulate General of Malaysia assited by the Journey to Malaysia student committee. Journey to Malaysia is a vibrant cultural festival that brings the sights, sounds, and flavours of Malaysia to the heart of Perth. More than just an event, it serves as a cultural bridge between Malaysia and Western Australia, celebrating unity in diversity through food, music, fashion, art, and traditional games.
The festival highlights Malaysia’s rich multicultural heritage while strengthening community ties and promoting tourism between both regions. It’s where Malaysians and Australians come together — to celebrate friendship, culture, and shared experiences in one unforgettable day at iconic Perth location - Forrest Place. Whether you're missing the taste of home, looking for your community, or just want to experience something genuinely special, this festival is for you.
Inspired by the massive success of Colours of Malaysia and Malaysia Fest, Journey to Malaysia was born to give Perth its very own dedicated festival, uniting our local community and sharing our rich heritage.
Watch breathtaking cultural acts live on stage — traditional dances, live music, and modern Malaysian expression all in one day.
Nasi Lemak. Satay. Char Kuey Teow. Teh Tarik. A full Malaysian street food experience curated by passionate local vendors.
